Former President of Euromontana,
Frank Gaskell spent 25 years in rural development administration, policy development and delivery, working for Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the UK Government’s agency for economic and social development in the North of Scotland. He was a founder board Member and then President of Eurada, the European Association of Regional Development Agencies and a founder Board Member and then President of Euromontana, the European Association of Mountain Areas. In these roles Frank has advised the European Commission on economic development and mountainous area policy. He remains an associate of both networks. Since 2008 has operated a consultancy in the field of European Policy Liaison and Rural Development Advice, now as Integritas Liaison Ltd. During 2013 to 2014, on behalf of DG Regional and Urban Policy, delivered series of presentations on EC Regional and Rural Policy to senior Regional and Rural Development Ministry officials in Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Tunisia.
